Two rounds of revisions, your feedback consolidated into one note per round. Editing is a separate service: drum alignment, comping, tuning. If a song needs it, I'll quote that alongside the mix.

I produce records start to finish. What it takes depends on the song, so send me what you've got and we'll map it out.
Per song means a single song; long or complex tracks I'll quote on the call. Album and project rates on request. Book mixing and mastering together for a bundle rate.
Every project starts with a call.
The Process
We start with a conversation.
Before anything else, we talk. About the songs, where they came from, where you want them to go, what you've been listening to. I want to understand the record you hear in your head before I touch a fader. Send a demo and I'll come to the call already knowing your material.
We do the work together.
This part is collaborative. You hear progress as it happens, you weigh in, and we shape the sound until it's right. I've spent a long time learning how to get a record across the finish line. That's the part I care about most.
We make a plan.
Every record is different. Some need a full production from the ground up. Some are tracked and just need a mix that brings them to life. Some are finished and need mastering to make them ready for the world. We figure out exactly what yours needs and how we'll get there.
You walk away with a finished record.
A record you're proud of. One that sounds the way you imagined, ready to release.

About
I'm a producer, mixer, and mastering engineer in Austin.
I started out interning at Electrical Audio under Steve Albini, then spent years at Public Hi-Fi, Yellow Dog, and Cedar Creek. These days I produce, mix, and master for artists making their own records, and I co-own Hideaway Recorders in South Austin.
I've come at music from every side: touring, my own records, and engineering other people's. I know what it takes to finish a record, and how rare it is to find someone who'll see it through with you. That's what I'm here for.
I also make a video series on songwriting and production, Songwriting with Alec.
